1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between visits, like whether you've already dismissed a banner, or which page you came from. They aren't software, they don't read your hard drive, and they expire.
Some cookies are set by us (first-party). Some are set by services we use (third-party).
2. What we use
We try to keep this minimal. The current set:
| Type | Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep the site working: form submission, session continuity, basic security. | Session or up to 1 year |
| Analytics | Understand which pages get read and where people drop off, in aggregate. Privacy-friendly (no individual tracking). | Up to 1 year |
| Booking | Set by Cal.com when you click a booking link, so the scheduler works. | Per Cal.com policy |
| Video | Set by YouTube when you play an embedded video. Standard YouTube cookies. | Per YouTube policy |
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. We don't run ad pixels.
3. Third-party cookies
The third parties whose cookies appear on this site, and where to read their policies:
- YouTube / Google privacy policy, embedded videos
We don't control how third parties use the cookies they set. If that's a concern, you can refuse to load embedded content, see opt-out below.
4. How to opt out
You have a few levers:
- In your browser: every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Search "manage cookies in [your browser]" for instructions.
- Per service: each third party (Cal.com, YouTube) has its own opt-out and privacy controls in your account settings on their platform.
- Don't load embeds: if you skip clicking on the booking link or video player, those third-party cookies never load.
Blocking essential cookies will break things like form submission. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your experience.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no agreed-upon standard for what to do with it, but we don't track you across other sites regardless.
6. Changes
If we add or remove cookies, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the site or by email if you've opted in to communications.
